The heart signifies more than merely a vital organ in our bodies; it embodies our inner being, reflecting our motives, attitudes, and personalities. This exploration reveals the heart's significance, the journey to attaining a pure heart, and examines faith's transformative impact on our lives.
It is not a mistake that Jesus taught on a mountain. My session was influenced by the idea that the Beatitudes correspond with our walk in Christ (our spiritual journey). As we begin our journey up the mountain, we are concerned with our spiritual needs and the Kingdom of God. When we reach the summit of his holy mountain, we hunger and thirst after God's righteousness. As we descend from the summit, we put on mercy, obtain a pure heart, and become peacemakers. In turn, we are persecuted in a world that cannot understand the purity of God's love. In my session, we will take a break at the "pure in heart" rest stop and dive into how the Gospels transform our hearts. This transformation comes with a beautiful promise of seeing God when we earnestly seek and engage with him entirely on our journey.
